Bedford Avenue 1896

This is so good. My neighborhood very well may be the epicenter for the "H" word. You know what I'm talking about. With track bikes, and cycling in general, at a new high, everyone in NYC sees you on a bike and snarks "Go back to Williamsburg!". Well, as history proves, Bedford avenue has long been filled with cyclists.

Gothamist just posted a photo of Bedford Avenue in 1896, literally filled with cyclists. Now what do you do? Print it out and shove it in the faces of everyone who accosts you on the street?

I have never once been told to go back to Williamsburg.

That dude on the far right is getting off his bike to repaint the bike lane.

Would a hipster call this photo a sepia colorway?
