FSA: Gimondi Signature Track Cranks

Yes, another throwback homage to the days of square tapered Italian cranks. I caught this at Velo News this morning after browsing FSA's new 2010 offerings. The cranks bear Felice Gimondi’s signature. In 1973 he won the world road championship, other career achievements included winning the Tour, the Giro, Vuelta and the Roubaix. At the time he was riding Campagnolo strada cranks but we all know there was little difference between Strada and Pista.

Check out more of FSA's offerings on Velo News.

What!? That's ridiculous! A road racer's signature on Track Cranks?

man, i dont think i would ever go back to square taper cranks, except if i had no choice or it fit the era of bike build. Not even 75's I will take Omniums any day.

looks like 130 bcd, shame.

You can tell by the oblong end that instead of making different lengths of crank they're simply drilling the pedal hole in different places. Inelegant, to say the least.
